Besok tepatnya tanggal 28 januari akan terjadi aksi demo besar besaran dari aliansi mahasiswa. besok juga tepat 100 hari pemerintahan SBY-Boediono. para mahasiswa menganggap bahwa pasangan SBY-Boediono telah gagal melaksanakan pemerintahan . unjuk rasa sudah terjadi dimana2.. para mahasiswa pun menuntut presiden di makzulkan. Rencananya besok para mahasiswa akan berkumpul dahulu di Bundaran HI sebelum dilanjutkan menuju ke istana presiden.

"Sejumlah titik memang akan menjadi pusat aksi massa. Namun antisipasi pengamanan dan personel sudah kami persiapkan," kata Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Boy Rafli Amar saat dihubungi Kompas.com, Rabu ( 27/1/2010 ).

Sejumlah kawasan yang akan menjadi konsentrasi massa antara lain di sekitar Istana Presiden, Gedung Departemen Keuangan, sekitar Bundaran Hotel Indonesia, Silang Monas, dan di sekitar Gedung MPR DPR Senayan.

"Untuk itu, kawasan ruas jalan yang perlu dihindari antara lain di sepanjang Jalan Sudirman-MH Thamrin, kawasan silang Monas, dan Jalan Gatot Subroto sekitar Gedung MPR,"

Untuk mengkritisi 100 hari pemerintahan SBY-Boediono, kabarnya Kelompok mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam Cipayung Club akan melakukan demo besar-besaran. Bahkan lebih dari itu ada berita yang lebih mengkhawatirkan yaitu para mahasiswa akan mengepung dan menduduki Istana.

Smoga aksi demo besar besaran yang akan terjadi besok tanggal 28 januari tidak menjadi seperti kasus 21 mei 1998. semoga tidak ada aksi anarkis yang dilakukan oleh penyusup dan tidak ada provokator dalam aksi 28 januari besok.

Aksi massa yang akan dilakukan bertepatan dengan 100 hari pemerintahan SBY pada 28 Januari besok diprediksi tidak akan ricuh. Rencananya aksi tersebut akan dihadiri berbagai elemen masyarakat.

SBY tidak melarang demo sejauh masih dalam koridor hukum.
"Jadi tentu saja Presiden menerima kalau ada aksi demo atau yang lain sejauh itu pada koridor hukum," ujarnya.

Menurut Ray Rangkuti gerakan tersebut difokuskan kepada dua hal utama, pertama mengkritik kinerja pemerintahan SBY yang dinilai gagal hampir di setiap bidang. Kemudian aksi ini juga difokuskan kepada aksi damai yang tidak memberlakukan kegiatan makar.

Aksi 28 Januari digembar-gemborkan akan diikui oleh puluhan ribu orang. Menkopolhukam Djoko Suyanto mengaku dirinya tidak khawatir dengan aksi massa tersebut.

"Jumlah berapa pun tidak masalah, tapi yang penting substansinya, jangan sampai rusuh, bakar membakar atau anarkis. Lebih baik 100 ribu orang tapi tidak rusuh daripada 50 orang tapi rusuh," ujar Djoko Suyanto saat jumpa pers di kantornya, Jl Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta, Rabu (27/1/2010).

Djoko mengatakan, pihaknya tidak akan melarang tempat-tempat tertentu, seperti Istana Presiden atau Gedung DPR untuk didatangi massa. Tetapi, lanjut dia, memang akan ada pembatasan antara para demonstran dengan para aparat kemanan yang mengawal jalannya aksi massa nantinya.

"Ya, soal itu memang nantinya ada batas seperti di Istana, karena kita memang belum ada peraturan terkait dengan pembatasan tempat untuk demo seperti di Inggris," tuturnya.

Saat ditanya apakah aksi massa besok hari akan ditunggangi oleh orang-orang yang ingin mendiskreditkan orang yang berkuasa saat ini, yaitu SBY-Boediono, Djoko tak menampik.

"Ya, itu tidak lepas dari residu selama ini. Kalau teman-teman lihat selama ini demonya 'Turunkan SBY-Boediono'. Tapi itu tidak masalah, yang penting tidak rusuh," tutupnya.

Dalam jumpa pers tersebut, Djoko didampingi oleh Panglima TNI Jenderal Djoko Santoso dan Kapolri Jenderal Bambang Hendarso Danuri

Kira kira bagaimana situasi jakarta untuk kejadian besok? akankah kericuhan mei 1998 terulang kembali? When it works properly, the free market pushes businesses to compete. This improves the quality of service and keeps down the price. The consumer benefits. All federal government need do is intervene when there is clear evidence of a company abusing its dominant position to damage the consumers' interests. Unfortunately, under the last administration, antitrust enforcement was scaled back. Worse, there were deeply entrenched monopolies and cartels that could not be investigated or regulated. The leading example of this immunity is enjoyed by the insurance industry. Some sixty-five years ago, it was exempted from federal antitrust laws by the McCarran-Ferguson Act. This is a sad example of corruption in government. Vested interests bought enough votes to get the Act passed. Lobbyists' money has kept the immunity in place ever since.

Why is this immunity as bad thing? Competition improves choice. Given a reasonable number of companies competing in the same market, each must offer features to distinguish their product from the others. Once consumers see one product is better, they will transfer their business. The competitors must therefore match or improve on those features to win back market share. If there's no effective competition, an artificially small number of products will be offered. The companies will agree not to compete on quality and price which rigs the market and divides it up between the suppliers. In the insurance market, patients have been paying artificially high prices. Doctors have also been paying inflated prices for their medical malpractice insurance. At a time when the costs of healthcare and drugs have been rising faster than inflation, this is penalizing the US consumer and the taxpayer who often ends up subsidising payment of these inflated prices. There is no justification for retaining this immunity.

Yet, the health insurance industry is absolutely opposed to reform. They see no reason why they should be bound by laws applying to virtually every other business in the US. The fact this opposition is so aggressive shows how much excessive profits depend on maintaining it. If premium rates did come down and the insurance companies had a reason to oppose price increases from doctors, hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry, there would be more efficiency and patients would benefit from better treatment at lower prices. It should not be a partisan political issue to repeal the McCarran-Ferguson Act. Both Democrats and Republicans should want to see better business practices in all parts of a free market system. Sadly, the money is flowing and there's little sign of enthusiasm in Washington for making this simple change. It does not have to go into the hugely partisan healthcare reform package. It can be a short standalone bill, but one with the capacity to produce real savings in premium rates at a time when unemployment is high and the problems of underinsurance and no cheap health insurance are reaching epidemic proportions.
